YOU MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE DOING MARKETING FOR A SERVICE BASED BUSINESS (Ideally b2b)

We’re a UK based marketing agency with a growing US client base, which means we have space for a Marketing Assistant to join us. Initially part-time, but it is hoped over the coming months this will increase to full time (although we are also happy if you want to remain part-time as we can recruit additional part-time people). The role is a home based, remote working role.

The Marketing Junction is a marketing consultancy that works solely in the recruitment space. Our typical client is between 2-40 heads. Seldom do they have any marketing department, or if they do, it tends to be a more junior function. Therefore we are the head chef and pot washer all in one!

We are now looking for someone who can come and work with some of our clients to deliver the marketing plans of their US offices. Someone who won’t say biscuits but will say cookies, won’t say mobile but will say cell phone, won’t say sweets but will say candy! And someone who will know to remove the ‘u’ from colour and favourite, and flip the ‘re’ around on Centre.

But it is much more than the cultural differences. It goes without saying that recruitment / staffing marketing experience would help, but if you have any relevant service industry, consultancy services or B2B related experience that will help!

The job is varied. We are looking for someone who is happy to roll their sleeves up and get stuck in. Whilst we have access to designers and other professionals, we are ultimately working with other company’s money and so we are not splashing cash all over the place. But we do invest in the right tools to do the job.

Be under no illusion: it is hard work with many competing priorities. But it is also incredibly rewarding.

You will be working on projects ranging from branding assignments, sales campaigns, collateral production, reporting, through to promotional items purchasing, website liaison and eshot creation.

You will need to be a great communicator, very well organised, committed, loyal and damn good at your job!

Above all – this role requires the very best written English. Mistakes and poor grammar are not accepted by our clients. It’s also important to be aware that this is an agency-side role. It’s much more fast-paced than working in house; we are judged on results and output.

Whilst there will be the occasional trip to the client site, you determine when these will be.
